Policy Overview
Docens Series in Education allows authors to retain copyright and deposit versions of their work in institutional, subject, or non-commercial repositories of their choice (such as PubMed Central, ResearchGate, Zenodo, or their home institution’s repository) without embargo.
Allowed Manuscript Versions & Conditions
1. Submitted Version (Preprint)
Allowed: Yes
Embargo: No embargo period
Conditions: Authors may deposit the original submitted manuscript (before peer review) to any preprint server or repository at any time. Authors are asked to update the record with a link/DOI to the final published paper once accepted.
2. Accepted Version (Author Accepted Manuscript / Postprint)
Allowed: Yes
Embargo: No embargo period
Conditions: Authors are encouraged to deposit the accepted, peer-reviewed version of their manuscript into institutional or thematic repositories upon acceptance. The deposit must include a statement of acceptance by Docens Series in Education and a citation link to the journal website.
3. Published Version (Version of Record)
Allowed: Yes
Embargo: No embargo period
Conditions: As a fully open-access journal, authors are permitted to deposit the final publisher PDF (Version of Record) in any repository immediately upon publication. The deposit must cite the original publication details, including volume, issue, page numbers, and the official Article DOI link.
